Cocoplum Nature Play

We are excited to welcome families in our community to Cocoplum Nature School!


Who can attend?

Families with children ages 4 through 8 are welcome. A caretaker must remain on site the whole time. Caretakers are encouraged to relax at the picnic tables and benches, and observe from a distance as the children self-direct their own play and learning. While older and younger siblings are certainly welcome at the park, please be aware that activities will be designed for pre-K and early elementary age children. 



February 22 - June 4

  • Monday & Thursday (8:30 -11:00 AM): Nature and place-based learning at Lake Ida East Park

  • Participants attend twice weekly for a total of 28 sessions

  • Closed April 12-16 for a mid-term break

COVID Safety Precautions

  • Waiver signed on-site confirming the health of all family members and the practice of CDC recommended preventative strategies 

  • Temperature checks upon arrival

  • Hand washing and hand sanitizer

  • Adults and children wear masks

  • Physical distancing of adults and children do their best

  • Bring your own reusable water container to refill at our water stations (no single use cups will be provided)

  • Anyone with symptoms or a positive COVID test, and anyone who has been in contact with someone with symptoms or a positive COVID test, will not attend
